Girls’ Brigade around the world is mainly funded through members’ contributions and supported by individuals and churches.

The money given to GB International is used to:
- Support young women through GB’s GiveAGirlAHope fund. Named after the founder of the fund, recipients are supported in training for leadership and mission
- Provide crisis support for girls affected by national disasters.
- Seed fund new initiatives and projects being pioneered by Girls Brigade around the world
- Enable emerging leaders from all countries to gain leadership experience in different cultures, and to get involved in GB events and initiatives around the world regardless of their own personal finances
- Provide financial support to enable the worldwide leadership team to develop GB’s worldwide vision – Girls’ lives transformed : God’s world enriched
GiveAGirlAHope fund
GB International specifically provides grants to any individual member, Country or a Fellowship through its GiveAGirlAHope fund. Previous grants part-funded mission trips from Europe, established a family support project in the Caribbean, supported the setting up of a project for young single mums in Asia and aided the provision of resources for sewing and handcraft centre in Africa.
Here’s some transformation stories from recent GiveAGirlAHope recipients:
- Girls’ Brigade Zimbabwe successfully kick-started a self-sustaining chicken rearing enterprise. Profits from the project allowed the girls to pay for their GBI and African Fellowship membership fees . The girls are hoping to use profits from this project to sponsor both disadvantaged girls in education and to provide sanitary packs.
- A grant helped GB Europe subsidise the cost of the Europe Gathering GB125 event in 2018. 100% of young women who attended felt encouraged and inspired after attending the Gathering.
