What an amazing God we have.  He is there in the good times and bad times.  Walking with us everyday through all our worries and joys.  Sometimes even carrying us when we are weak and need help, but God loves us and stands by us.

I always find Lent an uplifting time of our Christian Calendar, it seems to bring me closer to God, testing my faith and challenging my walk with Christ. God loves us and shows this in the challenges we face.

I have recently been to the New Zealand Fonomarae (January 2024). The Theme for the week was “FACING GIANTS”.  Everyone at the Fonomarae faced a giant in a different form.  The Lord placed many obstacles in their way both physical and spiritual challenges.  To see the girls and the leaders overcome these obstacles was a joy on our hearts. It could be seen that God love us and keeps us safe.

God places obstacles in our pathway every day, but at the end of the day, after our faith being tested, He still loves us and gives us rest to do it all again tomorrow. God loves and protects us.

We have a little 6 year old girl in our company and every Tuesday night after our patience has been tested, I always remember what she says at the end of her prayers, “Thank you Jesus, for dying for me on the cross, because you love me”.  This is what Lent and Easter is all about.  No matter what we have done to hurt God, or question what He wants us to do, or not listen to Him, or not taking time daily to talking to Him, I could go on and on, but in the end, when we say sorry Lord, God still loves us.
