The Girls’ Brigade is active in over 50 countries in five International Fellowships. We’re passionate about the work we do in local communities and excited about the doors that are open to us as an international Christian organisation.
In these pages, you can read about our role as advocates for and empowerers of girls and young women across our organisation.
You can find out more about the projects that support our members to grow in faith and friendship and to change situations in their communities. You can also learn about our new role as an NGO with UN Consultative Status, what this means, and what we hope to do with it.
At times, it can seem like there’s a great distance between our international offices and our members meeting in churches and school halls around the world. But the work of The Girls’ Brigade seeks to recognise what we have in common, to learn from the things that make us different, and to build bridges between different communities.
We undertake projects that allow girls to share their own words about what they love about belonging to The Girls’ Brigade. We enable young women to explore their leadership and advocacy skills through travel to events in other countries. And we empower and resource our local groups to make a lasting difference exactly where they are.
