On Friday 8 March, a team of 10 members from across the Girls’ Brigade family formed the Delegation of Hope. They met in New York for the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women (one of the world’s largest global gatherings specifically focusing on gender equality).

The Delegation of Hope also led their own event as part of the UN NGO CSW schedule on Friday 15 March.

Hannah, from The Girls’ Brigade England & Wales, was commissioned to write a special spoken word piece for our CSW session. It is entitled ‘Women Who Hope.’ It was amazing to hear the team perform it for the first time in person. The team had goosebumps hearing the powerful words spoken aloud! Women Who Hope is an incredible resource for the GB family – so we are excited to share it with you now!

We have been called for such a time of this – to be hope-bringers and generation shapers. We have been called to break the code of silence.
